Great news! The Webby Awards have just announced their Official Honorees for 2011 and The LXD has been recognized in two categories – Drama and Best Individual Performance. While Drama’s reasonably self-explanatory, their website handily explains Best Individual Performance as:
Best individual performance by a person or thing (puppet, animal, flying lawnmower, etc.) in a video series or episode. Can consist of a particularly poignant dramatic performance, a breathtaking stunt, a painstakingly executed dance routine, or any performance that captures viewers’ attention and cannot be easily replicated.
Since our flying lawnmower doesn’t appear until my episodes in season three, I’m willing to chalk this recognition up to the dance routines. A huge thanks goes out to the Webby Awards for recognizing the show and everyone who was involved in bringing it to life!
While history will remember me as the inventor of a jetpack that’s capable of traveling through time, I’m also the only film and commercial director ever to have an action figure based on his likeness. I live in Los Angeles. And this website is a record of my adventures.
