Then I Woke Up And It Was Today

It feels like the last couple of weeks have been a blur.  A busy, colorful, blog-less blur.  Between going to a Vegas bachelor party, enjoying the all-too-familiar sensation of feeling my heart stop (twice!), pitching a commercial campaign, fielding notes on a treatment, budgeting a music video and producing some great new behind the scenes docs that are coming your way this summer, it’s been a rewarding, creative, sleepless time since Rob Huebell officially declared us BFF’s.  Aside from time I wasted watching Splice.  Which was terrible.

Anyway, the real story is that I got to enjoy the first-ever public screening of LXD on Wednesday night.  It was a terrific, incredible, unbelievably rewarding experience – only when I saw all ten episodes screened as a whole did I realize I haven’t been working on individual stories…I’ve been working on parts of a feature.  And a damn entertaining one at that.  Seeing and hearing the audience react to a year’s worth of hard work – the net result of the tremendous efforts of a huge number of crazy talented people – was inspiring.  Especially since I know just how extraordinary things get in season two.

Long story short, I know we’ve been a bit of tease when it comes to the release date.  But LXD is coming. And it is awesome.
