Picture Lock

Get it? It’s a picture…of a lock…

Sigh. Seemed funnier on paper. Carrot Top-worthy sight gags aside, today’s headline isn’t false advertising – HOW FAR WOULD YOU GO? has officially picture locked! Matthew Gilna manned some mighty sharp scissors in the editing room, fitting an epic tale of action, amazement and ale into a scant thirty second running time. His typically incredible work brings us just a score, some sound design and a few visual effects shy of the best spec spot this site has seen since…well, since LIVE THE GAME, frankly. So it’s with great excitement that I announce that composer Aaron Roethe has joined the team to create a score that will rock your home entertainment system silly. He’s an insanely talented musician who I’m thrilled to be working with him for the first time.

Finessing each and every frame of “The Greatest Beer Run Ever Told” isn’t the only reason the blog hasn’t been receiving my usual dose of crushing love, however. Lately I’ve been more than busy chasing down some ad opportunities – more on that later – and generally dealing with the culture shock of being back here in these United States. But since you insist, the highlights of the past few weeks are…

  • Doing battle with hawks, otters and a deck that feeds on Scrabble tiles during a Fourth of July weekend spent with Chels and her family.
  • Joining the cast of G.I. JOE in a speaking role that guarantees my cinematic immortality as “Pulse Cannon Technician.”
  • Meeting the babies of seemingly every single set of friends I have. Seriously – if anyone else I know has a trip to the delivery room, the adult population will officially be outnumbered by toddlers by at least three to one.
