Mixing It Up

Last night was the final sound mix on LIVE THE GAME, my latest spec spot and – unless an exhaustive YouTube search failed to turn up hidden gems in the Milton Bradley vault – the best damn ‘Battleship’ commercial ever committed to film. Mike Frederick’s incredible sound design married perfectly with a bulletproof score by the one and only Bear McCreary, making for a quick session that produced a soundtrack just as strong as our visuals. And as far as what the actual sound of the piece is…you’re going to have to check back next week to find out. What I can say is that if you’re a fan of jet engines and sonic booms being applied to regular human movement, you’re going to be very, very happy.
