Jetpack, Time Machine, Zombies

The distribution of my mattress full of disposable income (seriously – who trusts banks these days?) is something I usually leave up to the guys over at Uncrate, and today was no exception. They brought to my attention a website called Robots & Monsters, which is run by San Francisco-based artist Joe Alterio. His goal, aside from having the (second) coolest domain name in cyberspace? To raise donations for the San Francisco AIDS Marathon by selling customized drawings of – you guessed it – robots and monsters. $25 will get you a signed 6” x 6” image featuring one or the other, or you can splurge and spend $40 to get both in the same piece. I opted for the latter, an easy decision given that a) I’m a renowned humanitarian, and b) the art’s based on three words of your choosing, and I’ve been looking for an image that incorporates today’s headline since I was about four years old. Orders are being accepted at Robots & Monsters until May 22, so click on over and do some good.
