Having dedicated the last few weeks to my patented ‘Needle In A Haystack’ approach to obtaining high quality product shots – sitting in front of my TV with a pot of coffee in one hand and my DVR remote in the other, hoping and praying that a Southwest Airlines commercial will air – I finally took Christina’s advice and recreated their corporate graphics in Photoshop, then dragged and dropped them into Final Cut. Since that took all of about twenty minutes, my next project is to construct a time machine, travel back in time and slap some sense into my younger self for not doing it sooner. For the record, I asked Christina if she ever gets tired of being right and her answer was an unequivocal “never.”
The finished version presented here as the installment in the video podcast, and a high-res Quicktime now lives in the TV Spots section of the site. A huge thanks goes out to all those who were involved in making the commercial, as well as everyone who took the time out to vote in the Southwest Airlines contest.
