Coppin’ for Votes

COP AND CUP! – our bid for eternal glory in the Boston Market Homemade Movie Contest – is now up on the competition’s official site. Featuring the cinematic stylings of Jeffrey Waldron, producorial skills of Christina Ferguson and acting chops of SILVER BULLET veterans Sean Dryke and Justin Ipock, the film’s a 60-second look at how a renegade detective and his by-the-books partner – who just so happens to be a gun-toting fast food cup – would spend an extra hour in their day.

Shot without lights, film or permits during an action-packed day of oil field trespassing, terrorism accusations and sprinklers that may or may not be responsible for every flash flood in California’s history, the movie turned out better than we ever imagined. Sadly, the same can’t be said for Boston Market’s website, which my boss correctly describes as “so cute it’s impossible to use.” Here, then, are easy instructions on how you can cast a much-appreciated vote to take COP AND CUP! to the winner’s circle:

Open a new browser window and steer it to http://www.myextrahour.com

Once the page loads, click on the text that reads “Enter”

After the flash intro, click on “Quick Navigation” at the top of the page

Click on “View All Movies”

Click on the thumbnail for COP AND CUP!  Click on the stars at the right to cast your vote. The more stars the better, so feel free to give us five! Just make sure to do this while the movie’s playing, since the stars disappear as soon as it’s done.

Get struck by a strange craving for fresh and delicious roasted chicken.

Thanks in advance for showing your support. Feel free to pass the word on to friends and let us know what you think!
